Meet Pika Dubey, a Mumbai-based Counselling Psychologist and the visionary founder of The Head Space Lab.

 

Pika Dubey holds a degree in Psychology from renowned institutions including Webster-Athens where she was a Gold Medallist and the National Healthcare Academy in Singapore. She has expertise in Relationship Counselling, Family dynamics and Neuro-Science. Adding to her achievements, she has garnered diplomas from esteemed institutions such as Yale and Harvard, reflecting her unwavering commitment to academic excellence and professional development.

Her heartfelt advice to the youth- “In navigating the complexities of today's world, it is important to understand external Influences —whether it's the influence of friends, family, environment, Social Media, or corporations. I encourage youth to think and always Question things, Don’t follow Blindly. Avoid succumbing to the pressure of blindly following trends deemed ‘cool’. Try to understand who you are amidst the surrounding noise of what people want you to do. Also, learn to set boundaries and saying 'no' when discomfort arises. It is not just about self-preservation; it's a powerful act of self-love. I emphasize the importance of incorporating mindfulness into daily life. By doing so, individuals can establish an authentic connection with their values and identity.”During her interview with Ms venture, Pika says, “I am deeply committed to dismantling the societal stigma surrounding mental health in India. Through candidly sharing my own personal experiences and challenges, I aim to create an open and accepting space where storytelling becomes a wellspring o strength rather than fear. On my Instagram community, I am creating a safe and welcoming space where everyone can comfortably embrace their authentic selves and talk about their experience. My goal is to destigmatize and educate on mental health by engaging in conversations about relatable topics. It's heartening to see individuals reaching out, some of whom have refrained from seeking therapy due to the fear of judgement.”

On her Instagram page- theheadspacelab, Pika Dubey generously shares valuable insights and information on mental health at no cost. She allocates time each week to offer free counselling calls for those who may not have the means to access professional counselling services. This initiative reflects her genuine concern for the well-being of individuals, ensuring widespread awareness of mental well-being and support is available to those in need, irrespective of financial constraints as her motto is-“Every Life Matters”. Her multifaceted approach, blending education, collaboration, and pro bono services, underscores her tireless efforts to foster a culture of awareness, understanding and support for mental health across the nation.

 

She became successful not only because of her hard work but, also because of her soft-heartedness towards others. Her kind heart and good deeds has helped many youngsters get motivated with her. She has motivated a number of people with her work. Her determination, dedication and constant thrust for achieving something the highest in life became the reasons for her successful life. After years of learning , where she delved deeply into her own thoughts ,Now with her emese empathy and knowledge she is passionate about assisting others in understanding themselves.
