Sushma TJ

Meet Sushma TJ, girl from Karnataka, India.

She holds a double degree in Law, a LLB and Master of Law and working as a Legal Manager in a reputed company.

During her interview with Ms Venture, Sushma shares, “Education has always been the cornerstone of my journey. In my college days, I held the proud title of being the 2nd Rank Holder from the University of Mysore in Law. This academic foundation has not only shaped my professional path but has also instilled in me a deep understanding of justice, equity and the power of the legal system. But life isn't just about one path; it's about embracing multiple facets. I am not only an advocate but also a sports person. My passion extended to the sports field, where I represented both district and state level competition in tennis, throwball, and other sports. A significant achievement was when I was part of the first all India women advocates cricket tournament held in Raipur, representing Karnataka women advocates in a national-level cricket tournament was an honour to me and we were the 2nd runner up. I also participated in a national level youth sports cricket tournament held in Shimla and won 1st prize.”

As an advocate, She is committed not only to the legal aspects of life but also to the emotional well-being of individuals. In line with this commitment, She offers free marriage counselling as a part of her social work, recognizing the importance of strong and healthy relationships within the society.

Adding to her achievements, she has been a finalist of Mrs. India Planet-2023 representing Karnataka in National Level at Delhi, and won the title of Mrs. India Planet Karnataka -2023. She is also an awardee of women excellence awards 2023 as “Most Iconic Women from Bangalore” by Success today, Magazine.  Her beliefs have always revolved around the idea of treating others with kindness and empathy. She firmly believes that if we cannot do good for someone, the least we can do is refrain from causing harm. This principle guides her actions, both in her personal interactions and in the professional realm.

Her Advice to youngsters, “We have a very short life, enjoy every moment while doing new things which makes you happy but don’t stop anywhere because no one is there to stop you except you/your will.”

She became successful not only because of her hard work but also because of her soft-heartedness towards others. Her kind heart and good deeds has helped many youngsters get motivated with her. She has motivated a number of people with her work. Her determination, dedication and constant thrust for achieving something the highest in life became the reasons for her successful life. She struggled with a lot of things before getting to where she is today.
