Riya Ostwal.

Meet Riya Ostwal, A chef, Home Chef, Food Enthusiast and Food Photographer.
During her interview with MS Venture, she says- “ As a vegetarian healthy chef, my business is dedicated to promoting wellness through plant-based cuisine. My focus is on crafting innovative and flavorful dishes that not only delight the taste buds but also, to provide nourishment. By sourcing fresh, local ingredients, I aim to support sustainable agriculture and minimize environmental impact.
Beyond cooking, I am passionate about educating others on the benefits of a vegetarian lifestyle. Through cooking classes and workshops, I empower individuals to incorporate more plant-based meals into their daily routines. My mission is to build a community that values health, sustainability, and creativity in the kitchen, inspiring a more mindful approach to eating. Ultimately, I aspire to establish my brand as a trusted name in healthy vegetarian cuisine, contributing to both personal well-being and environmental sustainability.
Food photography plays a vital role in this journey, as it captures the essence of a dish in a single frame, showcasing its richness and artistry. A well-taken photograph freezes a moment in time, revealing the intricate details and flavors that make each meal special. It is an art form that enhances the dining experience, offering a visual feast that entices and excites even before the first bite.” Riya also shares her challenges, “ Growing up in a conservative Marwadi family, as we are pure vegetarians, I faced challenges in pursuing my love for cooking due to our religious beliefs. At first, I felt it was hard between my dreams and community values.
But I started blending traditional recipes with new ideas, this helped me understand and honor our culture while following my passion. Now, I proudly share our authentic flavors with the world, by staying true to my roots that’s vegetarian cooking only !
While I'm deeply passionate about cooking, there are times when the demands of creating content, managing social media, and balancing other responsibilities can feel overwhelming. To stay driven and motivated, I remind myself why I started this journey in the first place – to share my love for cooking and inspire others to explore the world of cuisine. I also make time for self-care, whether it's trying new recipes, experimenting with flavors, or simply taking a break to recharge. Surrounding myself with supportive people, engaging with my online community, and celebrating small victories also help me stay motivated and focused on my goals.” Adding to her achievements, she is the winner of Master Chef Rajasthan Season 2, judged by Chef Ranveer Brar and Chef Bhasin. She has been featured in various renowned e-magazines and participated in India’s Biggest Cooking Contest Season 2.
