Recognising this unmet need, he dedicated his specialised practice to Sexual Medicine in 2010, with particular attention to women's sexual health concerns, including vaginismus, painful intercourse, low sexual desire, and orgasmic difficulties. His approach goes beyond treating symptoms, focusing on the physical, psychological, interpersonal, and emotional dimensions of each patient's experience. Turning Challenges into a Purpose One of the most significant challenges in his professional journey has been establishing greater recognition of Sexual Medicine as an essential and specialised branch of healthcare. Misconceptions and social stigma often prevent individuals from seeking timely assistance, while limited awareness can make it difficult for patients to find appropriate medical support.
Rather than allowing these barriers to define the field, Dr. Chakravarthy has continued working towards change through clinical practice, patient education, professional engagement, and public awareness initiatives. His work reflects the importance of approaching sensitive healthcare concerns with scientific understanding, confidentiality, and empathy.Achievements Beyond Recognition ,A notable milestone in his career came in 2024, when he was honoured with a Doctorate in Sexual Medicine (Honoris Causa) by Maryland State University, USA. As the Founder President of the International Association of Sexual Medicine, he has also contributed to professional collaboration and greater awareness of sexual health.
However, for him, professional success extends far beyond titles and qualifications.
