ANSHU MALIKA ROJA SELVAMANI.

MEET ANSHU MALIKA ROJA SELVAMANI,
A GIR WITH MULTITALENTS she is an author, entrepreneur, brand ambassador, student, coder, winner of numerous awards in the categories like social work, writer, coding, information technology, marathon runner, etc.
She is currently studying in the 12th grade. She is extraordinarily good in her academics always scoring nineties and having a 10.0 GPA. She has an interest in computer science. Once, she noticed something near her house which devasted her from inside out. There used to be a construction site near her residence,
Everyone’s life has a twist or turning point. Life has a lot more than what we have dreamt of. We plan something and something else happens. Everyone wants to be a successful person in their life. Some achieve it at an earlier stage and some achieve it at a later stage. Achieving success is the most important thing in somebody's life. It doesn’t matter at what age stage you are receiving it.
A girl who doubted herself at a certain age due to social abuses, taboos, criticisms, trolls, mocks and a lot more. She has regained the lost faith and trust in herself. She didn’t give up rather she fought back against all those negative energies and she is standing apart from the crowd.
This young, angry, vulnerable, carefree, rebellious yet strong girl had opened her wings and was about to take a flight, in that huge open sky. She started creating the chapters of her life to think of who she was and discover who she will be.
Let's unveil the person,
residence where she saw children of her age i.e. below 14 years were working on the construction site. This left her wanting to do something about the situation.
Just to earn some money, their parents have pushed them to work when they should be going to school. These contractors and landlords taking advantage of their innocence and their small fingers never denied them work as to where could they find such cheap labour. This had moved Anshu.
She understood how lucky she was that she was getting an education and how important education is in today’s world. She then realized the value of education and found a purpose in her life – work towards “Universal Access to Education”.
So she decided to help these children and hence started to give them free tuitions of mathematics, English, science and computers. She would come back from school and deliver those tuitions. Unfortunately, after a year they left to their hometown since their contract period was over. she came up with an idea to create a mobile application where kids like them could learn and grow. Construction labourers or domestic helpers, almost all of them have mobiles and if education can reach to them via mobile for free, what could be better than that.
She connected with her school graduates who were part of the coding club that she headed and shared her idea of an interactive learning app with them. They together developed this app and it successfully got deployed, she was happy as she can help underprivileged kids even in the smallest way possible. The most special feature of her app was that it supported the native language of that region hence none could feel difficulty in operating it.

After her app was out, she started spreading the word about it and began collaborating with NGOs with the only motive – Universal Access to Education. She was focused on working in villages where the illiteracy rate was higher. Her extraordinary work delightfully defines and acts as the most deserving award for the BEST SOCIAL WORKER OF 2021.
Apart from this app she runs an organisation ART FOR A CAUSE. She laid her stone in social entrepreneurship through this. The organization was solely set up by her. The company works for underprivileged children. The company provides them with the required funds for their education from their profits and provides them a better living style. The company is registered under the Government of India. The company raises funds from its services. The services they provide are digital illustrations, logo making, handmade artworks customized to the pictures given, digital portraits, customized holiday arts, customized prints on t-shirts, customized prints on mugs and key chains and a lot more art products. Anyone can find them on Instagram @artforacauseindia and can have a look at what they provide and can buy customized products.
In coding she has received an award for the most innovative hack in girls can code coding competition from IIT, Hyderabad at just 13 years old being one of the youngest participants there.
A local-based handloom company approached her for the brand ambassador. She is the brand ambassador of MAYANS, brand name. The company provides all types of outfits tops, frocks, gowns, and they have customized outfits also. Anshu is a firm supporter of sustainable brands.
Her love for science and research was also evolving with time. She connected with a science professor and researched about robots and computer science and later published two research papers out of which one won merit publication. She earned more than 600 certificates by pursuing advanced courses and acquiring exceptional skills.
While everything was going on, her cousin read somewhere that nominations for the

Child Prodigy award were being called for. She wasn’t interested but her cousin insisted on doing it hence she applied for it for in the category Computer Science and Technology. With God’s grace, she won the award and became one of the Child Prodigy awardee selected from all over India. Along with this, she won Achievement Award 2021 in two categories – social work and writing and the precious Applause Award 2021.
She didn’t stop here. She started another way to help youngsters with an organization named SMILE 100. The organization wholly justifies the name with the initiative they are performing. Smile 100 is designing happy faces successfully. They aimed to expand and explore more all over India. The main function of smile 100 is to educate 100 underprivileged young children. Contributing and providing them funds for a better future.
Where in lockdown lot of people are frustrated, some used the period successfully. Anshu was one of them who have used their lockdown period successfully. Being a rebel all her life, she had always been a voracious speaker. She used to participate in debates as they were the outflow of her views .and ideas/ She started participating in national and international debates and Model United Nations debates. All these conferences and debates were making her more and more popular in the Indian Student Circle. She became the secretary-general of the YEF MUN conference and president of the YEF SDG conference and served as national head of youth affairs of YEF NGO.
She said her dark life insisted she bleed like this. A phase of her life was totally onto the dark where she was all alone with depression, disbelieves, hate...where no one and nothing could made her happy and smile. Raging and bullies, comments on her looks personality made her feel insecure and inferior. She wasn’t even in a state to trust anyone. She has lost trust in herself. That’s when she found love and comfort in writing. What happened after that?...
She never looked back and she soon started gaining faith and trust in herself. She started doing things of her interest and achieving back-to-back successes.
Her book FLAME IN MY HEART is the result of all the dark life of a young girl ANSHU MALIKA ROJA SELVAMANI.

"Courage is the price that life exacts for granting peace." -
