Vandana Nalini

Meet Vandana Nalini SIngh, an academician , a historian, a prolific writer, motivational speaker, entrepreneur, social activist, researcher and professor of history.

She is the University Topper of Lucknow University in History and an accomplished, award-winning academician, honored with the National Award from the Ministry of Human Affairs Directorate of Higher Education and the highest college award for academic excellence and social service. She has received numerous accolades, including The Real Super Woman Award 2021 in the Multi-Talented Category (Academician & Motivational Speaker) and AIWA’s Top 100 Influential Women Award as an educationalist, author, and motivational speaker. Believing that education is the most powerful weapon for change, she dedicates her profession to preparing students for greater struggles in life, inspiring them to stand out. As an educationist and changemaker, she strives to bring transformation through knowledge. Her dedication to education was further recognized with the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam National Excellence Award, motivating her to push the boundaries of learning.

A passionate writer, she has received prestigious literary honors, including the Tagore Sahitya Samman, William Shakespeare Golden Book & Laureate Award, Charles Dickens Award, and George Eliot Memorial Award. Writing serves as a creative outlet, allowing her to express thoughts beyond constraints.

Her contributions as an inspirational woman have earned her multiple awards, such as the Sarojini Naidu Iconic Women Achievers Award, Sheroes Naari Samman, Women of Excellence Award, City Excellence Award, Women of Future Award, Savitribai Phule Award, and Vishwa Bharat Hunar Samman as Versatile Woman of the Year. She was also felicitated with the Pride of India Award on Republic Day for her outstanding contributions.

Actively involved in women's empowerment, she is a member of the Inspiring Women Community and the Indian Women’s History Museum Foundation, participating in various workshops, conferences, and seminars. As a researcher, she has presented papers on topics like Female Foeticide and Infanticide, Growth of Political Consciousness in Lucknow during British Rule, Religious Ethics & Philosophy of Karma, and Media’s Role in Women’s Empowerment.

An accomplished author, she has co-authored several books, including Rising India…An Echo, Samvad: Deliberations on Gender Equality, Fundamentals of Public Speaking, Artificial Intelligence: An Inducement of Technology in Human Affairs, Literature and History: Exchanges and Interactions, and Anthology on Delhi.

Her interest in health and wellness led her to entrepreneurship, where she founded Triage Agro Foods, promoting awareness about organic food. She has also made a mark in the world of beauty pageants, being a top finalist of Mrs. Capital of India 2021, the winner of Mrs. India Majestic, Miss/Mrs. India 2023, Miss/Mrs. Glam International 2023, second runner-up at Miss/Mrs. India International, and a titleholder for Best Ramp Walk (Mrs. India Universe) and Mrs. Radiant Beauty 2024.

During her interview with MS Venture, she also shares about her inspiration and her strategies to stay driven in her work , “ My parents are my greatest inspiration, always motivating me to chase my dreams and never lose hope. My father, Mr. K.K. Charan, served as a Quality Assurance Manager at Tata Iron and Steel Company, Jamshedpur, and was a dynamic leader who brought laurels to the company. He inspired me to stand out, dream big, and strive for excellence. My mother, Mrs. C.J. Charan, a housewife yet a truly empowered woman, taught me resilience, strength, and perseverance. Their lessons instilled self-belief, courage, and a purpose-driven mindset in me. Their guiding mantra—"If you can’t fly then run,If you can’t run then walk,if you can’t walk try to crawl but whatever you do just keep moving forward,a little progress each day will add up to big results so never quit but keep moving’
